July 2026 New Living Wage Employers

We have certified 7 New Living Wage Employers across BC!

With their employers’ commitment to providing a Living Wage, direct employees and numerous contracted workers can experience greater financial security. The assurance that basic needs can now be met alleviates significant stress, and takes a step towards addressing affordability for workers.

Growth in Numbers and Sectors

This month we have certified Living Wage Employers in different sectors and communities. From community organizations like the Comox Valley Social Planning, Kiwassa Neighbourhood House and Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce to businesses like Operto Guest Technologies and DAU Studio.

We are proud to celebrate these organizations for stepping up and ensuring their teams earn a wage that reflects the true cost of living. Their example is paving the way for a stronger, more equitable workforce in BC. We encourage more employers to join this growing movement and make a meaningful difference for their employees and their families.

We’re proud to be a Living Wage Employer, ensuring our team can afford to live and work in the community they serve. At the Sea to Sky Hospice Society, our mission is to support people across the Sea to Sky, and committing to a living wage means we’re also supporting our staff—making this work a sustainable and meaningful career.” Chris Wrightson, Sea to Sky Hospice Society

Being a Living Wage Employer means voluntarily committing to pay all direct employees at or above the living wage for our region, recognizing that fair compensation supports employee well-being both in and out of the office, strengthens our workforce, provides our staff with better work-life balance, and contributes to long-term business success.” Nicole Vincent, Turnbull Construction Project Managers Ltd

The Mission Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business in our community. Becoming a Living Wage Employer is more than just a compensation decision for us, it is a public commitment to leadership, sustainability, and supporting a healthy local economy. We believe that supporting our employees and a stronger workforce overall sets a positive example for the businesses we serve, and we hope they will be inspired to implement Living Wage practices and policies in their own businesses and organizations. Miriam Bozman, Mission Regional Chamber of Commerce
