Managing Director of Living Wage BC

"After nearly ten years in Canada, I’ll be returning to the UK next February.

It’s been an incredible five years leading the Living Wage campaign, navigating Covid, the cost-of-living crisis, and major transitions. In that time, we’ve tripled the number of certified employers, launched a new strategy, doubled and diversified income, rebranded as Living Wage BC, and updated our methodology to better reflect the realities of working people.

 

None of this would’ve been possible without our amazing network of employers, community groups, and labour allies. It’s been a true privilege to work alongside you.

Because this work means so much to me, I’m giving early notice to support a smooth transition and help on-board the next Managing Director.

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in social justice advocacy, policy campaigning, and project management.
• Skilled in coalition-building and engaging diverse stakeholders, including employers and business networks.
• Strong public speaking and media communication abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of building trust and navigating conflict.
• Deep commitment to social and economic justice, with solid knowledge of related issues.
